Socarrat Paella Bar - Midtown East is now accepting reservations for both indoor and outdoor dining, weather permitting. In the case where we need to close due to inclement weather, we will contact you the day of your reservation. To book a table online for indoor dining, please select "standard seating".

Socarrat, the quintessence of the perfect paella and for which the restaurant is named, is the delectable, sensuous crust that forms on the bottom of the paella pan when the liquid is rendered and the rice reaches its peak of succulence. The menu, an authentic array of delicious dishes from the regions of Spain specializing in traditional tapas with an accent on paella and fideua (which substitutes fried noodles for rice) that can be characterized as a true exploration for the palette.

Our Midtown location, the most recent addition to the Socarrat family, displays a lively atmosphere that is perfect for small and big groups alike. Book your next party in our private dining room!

As great as the paella looked, we ordered only from the tapas part of the menu as that’s a favorite way to go for us. The tuna, stuffed dates and octopus tapas were incredibly tasty. The cod was great too, and perfectly cooked. While my wife also loved the Napoleon salad, I thought it was good, but it was the least favorite for me. Very nice and attentive servers and staff, and a homey, though a bit loud, atmosphere. Would absolutely return for more, and probably order a paella next time.

Really excellent selection of tapas and the paella was wonderful. The daily croquette was a highlight. The bartender was wonderful and makes a great mojito!

Tapas were all good. Similar to many of the tapas places in the city. Paella was different but also good. Nothing that I would go out of my way for, but everything was fine.

I have been a loyal client for years and years and honestly I did enjoy my dinner at the top until I have been served with a fake Belota 5 that is the best of the best. Supposedly be served with most special quality and costly Spanish ham, instead we got a terrible one I will not give to my friend’s dog. Very very disappointed. Don’t care if did not charged me. I was happy and looking forward to have what I ordered NOT what they bring to the table. Will be difficult to be back after this!!!
