Song Bird by chef Neil Perry AM offers a superlative culinary experience that blends the delicate flavours of Cantonese cuisine with the warmth and fragrance of traditional Chinese cooking. Reflecting Perry’s profound appreciation for Chinese culinary traditions, Song Bird’s menu is designed for sharing and is a testament to Perry’s commitment to cooking with fresh, locally-sourced premium produce.

Situated in Sydney’s Double Bay and set over three levels, Song Bird exudes a sophisticated yet welcoming ambience. Housed in the heritage-listed 1960’s masterpiece ‘Gaden House’, designed by architect the late Neville Gruzman, Song Bird's interior immerses guests in contemporary elegance with a subtle nod to Chinese sensibilities.

Neil Perry AM is one of Australia’s leading and most influential chefs. He has been the Food, Beverage & Service Director at QANTAS for 25+years, creating one of the best dining experiences in the sky.

    Our group dining space in Song Bird is nestled in the tree tops overlooking Double Bay and can accommodate up to 18 guests. Guests are asked to dine on our share-style Expressions of Song Bird Menu at $135 per person, allowing guests to celebrate with a glorious feast of Chef Neil Perry’s signature dishes. To enjoy the full Song Bird experience, diners have the option of enhancing their menu by adding chef’s Menu Supplements. Please contact our reservations team at 02 9871 9888 or info@songbirddoublebay.com for the Expressions of Song Bird Menu, our selection of Menu Supplements and our Wine List. For exclusive use of the group dining space, there is a minimum spend requirement of $3,500.00 plus a 10% service charge.

    Our first time at Songbird, the restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and buzz. We were superbly looked after by Elle and a number of other attentive staff members. We can highly recommend the dumplings, Peking Duck, Prawn Toast and the Coral Trout, all delicious!

    The meal at Song Bird was nothing less than you would expect from a Neil Perry restaurant. The food and staff were beyond our expectations. The best Chinese we have ever had.

    Starters were good, dessert was delicious, mains were completely tasteless. Atmosphere is like a big dining room in a hotel. Not worth it.

    Neil Perry never lets you down the food was amazing, service impeccable and a beautiful setting. We sat upstairs even though the restaurant was full it was not at all noisy. Can’t wait to return.

    The most attentive and courteous staff that were willing and prepared to ensure our utter satisfaction. Having informed reception that we were running late not only once but twice there was no issues by the team and we were provided a window seat overlooking the Royal Oak that was perfect. Loved every dish being,Peking Duck(super thin pancakes which I love),Coral Trout,BBQ Pork,Spencer Gulf Har Gow. This is my second visit,just over a week ago and so much looking forward to dining again. Must say the first visit to have experience the D Blackmore steak was sensational..I’ll be ordering again. Thank you

    We tried the banquet meal. The appetizers were great and the dessert was even better. The environment and service was really great.

    We had some issues with our main meal (entrees were amazing) - and it was handled by our waitress impeccably - she was fantastic- and made the overall experience seemless. It was very impressive
