In Boston�s South End, the Serene Republic of Venice, or SRV, is a Venetian restaurant and wine bar specializing in small plates called �cicchetti� with house made pasta and risotto. SRV is centrally located in the community with an Italian wine list and modern dishes. Guests will find a sophisticated and casual dining experience accented by quality service. The arsenale menu at SRV is a whole table experience with multiple courses that showcase the uniqueness and prosperity of Venice and represents the SRV team. Other menu items include sweet potato tortelli, squid ink bucatini and a variety of risotto dishes.

Third visit and still enjoy SRV. Love the maltagliati with lamb sausage and the vongole. Miss the beef crudo (tartare) that was amazing. Really find the space to be comfortable as well. Only issue is the outdoor seating. We were sitting at the table immediately to the left as you come out. The bench runs along the wall and is right over the exhaust fan. It was miserable sitting there and I was melting into the chair. I'd say this seating should have never been put in. It really made for a horrible start to the evening until we were moved - thank goodness!!!!!!

Without a doubt one of the finest dining experiences It was a feast for all the senses Definitely one of Bostons best and one of the most delectable meals I have had The small plates are perfect as the amazing complex flavors can be savored and are more filling than expected This is a genius menu!!!

One of the best restaurants I know of in the Boston area. Highly recommended for the food. Why else does one go to restaurants anyway? It's very unusual to find combinations of flavors and textures that I haven't had somewhere before. Their dishes managed consistently to surprise and exceed expectations based on other Venetian-style foodie restaurants. Waiting staff was exceptionally pleasant -- not "Hi my name is Bob and I'll be your server tonight" but some real conversation, and brief enough not to be intrusive.

Great people, service, interesting menu of very fresh and well paired ingredients. Keen courtyard seating -- avoid the exhaust fan tables.

Had the tasting menu. Great value. At 45 dollars 8 courses -we couldn't even finish the last pasta course. Will return to sample other items.
