STIR is the perfect restaurant to enjoy a night out, host clients, or sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters. Located in South End, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Our cold bar and kitchen offers fresh oysters from North Carolina and beyond, traditional Mexican and Peruvian ceviche, and classic entrees and specials, all prepared from scratch.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

We welcome Charlotte to enjoy our unmatched cocktails, fresh seafood, and classic dishes in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality.

The service was extremely poor. We went for brunch around 11 am on Saturday morning. The restaurant was not busy yet it took forever for someone to approach us once seated, get drinks and order our food. I asked for coffee and never received it. My order was taken incorrectly and then there was no hurry to rectify the situation. Once I finally received my food, it was cold and the rest of my party was done with their meal. I had high hopes for Stir but was disappointed in the mediocre service.

Typical restaurant experience. Out of the first 2 bottles of wine we tried to order. Oyster bar was the highlight of the night. Would go back!

Stir has a cool vibe and a lot of potential. Didn’t get our cocktails until midway through our appetizers and my soup was lukewarm. All of the staff looked miserable- no one was smiling. Drinks were good and I really hope this place improves and stays in business.

We had an amazing experience! A friend and I were away for a weekend and Stir was just the amount of low key fun we were seeking. The food was amazing and our server was wonderful! He had the best suggestions on food and drink. If you’re contemplating where to go for a delicious, fun time, choose Stir!
