Stopped into sugar bacon for an anniversary brunch with my wife. We used to come here a lot and were so excited to try out our favorites again. Big mistake, HUGE. Our entire order came out wrong and our server did not attempt to fix it. Instead, when we pointed out the issues, he went to the kitchen to “figure it out” and then avoided our table like the plague for the next 15 min. All while I’m waiting on my brunch which finally came after we’d finished eating. No apology was made or accountability taken by the server or owner. Then we were charged extra for potatoes that came as a side to our meal. Frustrated by the experience and lack of care for our special outing, we just paid and left. Outside of the great drinks. I doubt we’ll back.

I met friends for a Holiday dinner and Sugarbacon was the perfect place. The food was delicious...do not miss out on the deviled eggs. The salads were perfect and large enough to be an entree. The burger is huge...and also great. This has NOTHING to do with the restaurant but parking in downtown McKinney is difficult to find...so arrive early.

Lobster Benedict was great! Ordered a six dog cheese grits that were perfect. It was my friends birthday and they brought out a bread pudding! Highly recommend!

Great food with many options to satisfy a group or just two dinning. Enjoy a very good Tito’s dirty martini, for entree one of us had the ribeye (medium rare) and burrata salad it was wonderful! Second diner enjoyed the Southern Shrimp linguine which was perfect depth of flavor and nice spice- jumbo shrimp that were perfectly cooked. Dessert was bread pudding - also a treat. All the food had real flavor and was MORE than we expected! Just go!

We were visiting from out of town and picked this restaurant because it was different and had a cool back story of being a service station and unique menu. We had a reservation and arrived early and although the restaurant was empty except for two tables it seemed to throw the 2 girls at the front desk. They took us to a small table in the middle of the room-made for 2 people. I didn’t make a fuss because I was with other people but I hate sitting in the middle of a room and especially at a table made for 2 instead of 4-plenty of booths on both sides as well as larger tables in the same row. Our server took a long time to come greet us and then again to come back and take our order. The food was excellent and definitely had a small twist to some of them that made them special. We all made small changes to our choices and the server repeated them all and the kitchen made all of the changes for us without any problems. The prices are comparable and the interior has a neat vibe! The noise was minimal.

Poor seating choices, dirty tables left all around us. Neglected to tell us about very hot plates they delivered to the table and we burned our fingers. Overpriced drinks that weren’t even full to the top. Mediocre food.
