Sushi Kashiba is Seattle's destination for Japanese fine dining at its highest level. Located right next to historic Pike Place Market. Take a coveted seat at the Omakase sushi bar, where you just might find multi-James Beard Award nominated Chef Shiro Kashiba hard at work.

Ordering one of Sushi Kashiba's chef curated sushi dinners is probably your best bet. The cuts of salmon, toro, tuna, yellowtail and other fish are always fresh and beautifully presented. The meal is finished off with Sushi Kashiba's trademark cake-like egg dessert. The restaurant also features à la carte items like agedashi tofu, oysters on the half shell and Chef Kashiba's New York Times featured black cod kasuzuke.

The omakasi dinner was excellent. Yes, it was expensive, but worth it for the occasional something special. The service was exemplary.

The food was amazing. The atmosphere was excellent with great service and friendly and knowledgeable staff. Price the food before you go so you are not surprised by the bill. The quality of the food was worth the money for us. But it will be a dinner to save for.

Absolutely the BEST sushi I have ever had. Rivals what I experienced when I lived in Japan. It’s a wallet buster but definitely worth every cent!!!!

My wife and I have had amazing sushi all over the world and not sure why this restaurant got such high marks. At best it was average .

Impeccable quality and a great treat to sit at the chefs counter to watch the GM Kashiba himself and his team flawlessly work. My first time experience omakase and what a birthday present! Also a great way to catch up with an old college friend. The champagne paired delicately with the seafood and evening. Can't wait to come back!

Always an amazing experience. Shiro was there greeting people and even helping clean up. as close to Japan as you can get in seattle

The attention to detail is impeccable and the food fresh and well prepared. Staff is very knowledgeable about the food and sake so take their advice when offered. Absolutely my go to sushi restaurant when in Seattle. If you want a seat at the sushi bar you must reserve well in advance 2-4 weeks at least.

Kashiba is, imho, hands down the best sushi experience in seattle. getting great sushi isn't super difficult in the PacNW but the overall level of service, food prep and uniqueness of options simply makes others pale by comparison. our server was comically knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. the food was spectacular. the bill was.... what it should be for all of the above. and if you run into Shiro he's probably walking around helping with all aspects (including bussing). it simply doesn't get any better than this.
