Unfortunately, the mashed potatoes didn’t seem as fresh as expected, and the salmon lacked the crispiness and rich flavor I usually enjoy. It also seemed a bit older than it should be. We came for their Happy Hour menu. Everything was delicious! Our server was also excellent. We will be back!

The double bacon benny was the only thing that was moderately tasty, although our eggs were over cooked. We tried the crispy squid.. which was rubbery. Not crispy at all and was cold when it was brought to the table. Also tried the fried chicken mac n cheese which was extremely dry. There was the teeniest bit of sauce that didn’t even cover the noodles fully. There were bits of noodles with cheese melted on them and that’s about it. Super disappointed with the food. Our server was nice enough but took ages to bring drink refills.. One drink wasn’t even brought and we also weren’t offered to get our water refilled. We asked another server who brought our food for water but something must’ve got lost in the hustle and no one came over. Would not recommend. Just want to mention I’m not blaming the server for the fault of the kitchen.

We had an early dinner Christmas Eave. Our server Rhys was great, and meals were delicious. Had a glass of wine and a appetizer to start. One of our favourite spots for a casual night out. Cheers

We had a work lunch on Christmas Eve. Service was great and the food was super tasty! Wouldn’t hesitate to do another work lunch here again.

First time seeing the newly renovated dining room. It's a much more cozy space compared to how it was previously!

It was good. My only complaint is that I cannot eat spicy food and it’s hard to find anything on your menu not spicy. I ordered the lettuce wraps without the spicy sauce which then there was no sauce. There was a small dipping lemon cilantro sauce which was lovely. I asked for teriyaki or hoisin sauce which you had neither. There was far more lettuce than chicken so could have had more. It was good but could have been better and makes me question how often I want to come to Tap and Barrel. The waitress was very good and tried to accommodate both me and my husband as best she could. I appreciate you asking for feedback
