   Food ok. Food options zero. Ambience zero. The restaurant was empty. Not a great experience. Not planning to go back any time soon.

   Everything was wonderful except the cell phone behind us with full volume on being used to entertain a kid. I completely understand that kids might be in the dining room, but having to listen to a kids cartoon definitely put a damper on our experience.

   The staff was amazing and the place is really nice, however the food is a little bit disappointing. The beef carpaccio was very good and really well seasoned, the burrata and focaccia were just fine! The rigatoni was very tasty but do yourself a favor and don’t order the mafaldine! The service was fast and there was no pressure for us to leave soon, which is very unusual around here!!

   Food was excellent, service was good but the overall atmosphere was quite chaotic and not at all relaxing. The biggest issue was that it was extremely loud in the restaurant - not just from any one table but just an overall LOUD environment. So loud I could barely hear my wife next to me - like being at a very loud bar. Not a good experience for an elegant dinner at a fancy restaurant. We almost left when we first got there but adjusted as we wanted to try the food. Also, we felt like we were in grand central station or going slow on the highway, so many waitstaff rushing all around us constantly. Definitely not a place for a relaxing dinner. The other issue I had was that my reservation confirmation said jackets recommended, so I wore a sports coat and this gave the impression that customers would be dressed nicely. However, everyone else in the restaurant has on sweatshirts, baggy t-shirts and generally super casual. I have no problem with that dress code but then don’t ask me to wear a jacket. Other than great food the restaurant was very good underwhelming. I would not go back since there are so many other great restaurants that offer a better eating environment. Especially at the prices they charge.

   Food was okay but not great. None of food came hot, served luke warm. The Rigatoni al dente and only warm. Not much sauce and little flavor. Branzino fish was good but also not that much flavor. Had to ask for lemon as there was little to no sauce with it. Wine was the best part of the meal. Service was great and friendly. Expensive meal. Will have to think about going back, not sure.

   The atmosphere and service were very good. Wait staff was friendly, professional and prompt. The setting was excellent. However, the food was very disappointing. My Rigatoni with Beef had perhaps a few grams of beef, and my wife's spaghetti with Caviar and Dungeness crab had small pieces of crab shells in it and an overbearing flavor of brine. And both pastas were well undercooked - not Al dente, but undercooked. She could only take a few bites of hers. On a positive side, the beef carpaccio was very good. We skied with another couple today who had a similar experience (not great food) dining there last week. Perhaps because it's new they are working out the kinks. They definitely have some work to do before we'd go back.

   Tavernetta was excellent! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the atmosphere a perfect blend of cozy, casual and elegant.

    The food was excellent. The service was slow and poor (appetizer arriving after main course). While this is a nice restaurant and has great ambiance and food, it was by far our worst experience of the seven dinners I had in Vail this past week.
