The Temaki Sushi team is thrilled to introduce a very special dining experience.
Our Head Chef, Hiroshi San, will prepare a multi-course seasonal meal, comprising the freshest seafood, meats and organic vegetables.

We will also be serving unique sake, wine & beer, imported directly from boutique Japanese growers.
Our intimate venue seats only 10 people, and you should allow 90 minutes. Authentic, elegant and friendly.

Had such a great time at Temaki Sushi! It’s not just about eating sushi it’s about making it yourself, which made the whole experience so much more fun. There were so many different meats and fish to try, and everything was super fresh and delicious. Big shoutout to Chef Hiroshi for the amazing food and for making it such an enjoyable experience. If you love sushi or just want to try something different, definitely check this place out!

Temaki Sushi Melbourne is a hidden gem for sushi lovers. The intimate 10-seat setting creates a cozy, exclusive experience, complemented by exceptional service and a well-curated atmosphere. The menu, featuring farm-fresh ingredients, is outstanding. The temaki sushi course lets guests assemble their own rolls with premium meats, seafood, and vegetables. The delicate miso and bonito dashi soups are beautifully balanced, while the seared wagyu and melt-in-your-mouth scallops are must-tries. For dessert, the Hojicha pudding is a perfect, umami-rich finish. With knowledgeable staff and an inviting ambiance, Temaki Sushi is a must-visit for an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend!

Was only the third day the restaurant was open. Very cosy place. Seats only 11. And the food was delicious.

We had a lovely evening being spoilt with dish after dish that was delicious and carefully crafted. The vibe sent me straight back to Japan and all the reasons to love Japan.

What a great find this one is. Unique and exclusive with only 10 seats, you are treated like 5 star service and the food amazing. Loved the interaction with the head chef and the design of the menu. Highly recommend.

My wife and I ate at Temaki Sushi this evening, it was our first time there. The restaurant itself is small, very casual, and very comfortable. The dining concept is quite unique. The menu is seasonal and incorporates many organic ingredients from their own farm in Ferndale. Our meal was excellent, starting with a cucumber salad and Konnyaku jelly. This was followed with a gentle miso soup. The main dish was a Temaki-style, delightful assortment of meats, seafood and vegetables that were beautifully prepared and easily self-assembled on Nori sheets and rice. We followed this with a small bowl of Somen noodles in a bonito dashi broth - very clean and lovely flavour. Our meal finished with an Hojicha pudding that was delicious. One thing that really stood out to both my wife and I was the very clear sense that the staff really care about service and providing a great dining experience. The restaurant is in an excellent location in the top end of Melbourne's CBD, and public parking is right across the road. We had a lovely night, and happily recommend it.

This is an unusual dining experience for Melbourne, but very familiar for those with experience of eating in Japan. The restaurant is physically a small space with limited seating. There are additional tables outside. Temaki are hand rolls you assemble yourself from various savoury options that are served to you on a tray. You start with a seaweed sheet and fill with rice and toppings. The flavours are lovely and the quality of ingredients is excellent. The two soup courses are standouts. All plates and cups are apparently produced at a local kiln using Japanese clay and glazing. Sakè varieties are worth sampling. The service is friendly and attentive. I recommend this place. It is probably worth reserving a table because it is so small.
