Thai Ute opened early 2016 with a vision to show Melbourne a true Thai flavour with rich slow-cooked curries, tasty stir fries and other traditional Thai fare, as well as some more local cuisine with a Thai-fusion twist. Our fully licensed restaurant & bar offers mouth-watering dine-in and take-away menus including Gluten Free and Vegetarian options.

While the menu offers familiar Thai items and some that may be less familiar, our head chef and owner Ute works with locally grown produce to give a truly authentic Thai flavour just like what is found on the streets of Thailand.

Book a cosy table for 2 or a larger table for family and friends, or even the whole restaurant (100 seats max) - the choice is yours!

Thai Ute is a wonderful local restaurant, food is always excellent, service is exceptional and the ambience is updated and stylish. This was not my first visit, I am never disappointed and would always recommend it to others.

This was our second visit .. a little disappointing. Hardly any staff for a very busy restaurant.

Great service, delicious food. Fast entree, but large gap until mains (we did have a few complex dietary orders that were done perfectly so that might have accounted for some of the time lag). Overall, great value for money and will be back!

Great food! Wait staff friendly and attentive too. Gets pretty noisy so not great for those hard of hearing but otherwise the ambience/fit out is really lovely.

We booked via Open Table and they confirmed the booking. However the restaurant itself did not have any record of it and refused to acknowledge it, despite showing them the confirmation on the app. Very poor staff response to this. Very noisy. Will not return. Greg

Unfortunately there was a language barrier with our server and we had to point to the item on the menu to order. Both courses came to our table cold and were not enjoyable. We waiting for some time for the dessert menu to be brought to us and after a long wait decided to call it a night and paid and left.

Not your typical Thai restaurant. Lovely modern decor, had a few groups in on Sat night so was a bit noisy but not a major issue. All food was very good except for one dish (not quite to our liking). Service was very good. Will go back as lots of interesting dishes on menu, which we would like to try.
