   Me and my wife Ana love everything about the restaurant especially food and service is outstanding especially Elly (I hope I’m not mispronouncing her name) Yes out go to restaurant. 👍🏽

   What a gem! Really happy to have found this amazing spot right in downtown Evanston. We took mother here for Mother’s Day this year because its close to her place and we absolutely fell in love. I started with the Tune Tartar, which while small was still yummy. The Young Arugula Salad was a sizable portion and enjoyable. On the night we were there they had a special of Chilian Sea Bass which was great and flavorful. I personally kept to the raw diet and had the Steak Tartare which was good, put probably didn’t need the gem lettuce base and could have used some more pieces of French baguette. The cooked steak was also VERY good – and very tender – the chef’s recommendation of medium rare was right on point. Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert. The bar makes a good dirty martini and the service was excellent. The dining room was lovely and the noise level was moderate. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

   We waited for our food for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the waiter did not offer us any bread during this time.

   Fantastic restaurant. I've been coming here for years, have yet to have a less than excellent meal. The best restaurant on the North Shore.

   The food was delicious, and they were extremely gracious when three extra guests showed up half an hour before closing. Highly recommend!

   Seated right on time, only 6 other tables at the time Water arrived pretty quick but waited 15 minutes for a server to come and take a drink order. Server seemed annoyed receiving questions about how food was prepared. Food quality was very good but way overpriced for the serving size.

   We ate at Alcove last night (4/5/25). My wife and I both had the foie gras as an appetizer and te rack of lamb as a main course. Our grandson had the crab cake appetiaer and the beef stroganoff main course. Everything was excellent, and in addition the noise level was very low. Steve
