The Beaver Inn is a small traditional pub with an amazing atmosphere and mouth watering menu. We are renowned for our fantastic fish specials and for the friendly service that we offer. Enjoy watching local talent? The Beaver Inn plays live local up-beat music every Saturday, we host the Marmalade Club (which is essentially an open mic night) every Sunday and on Mondays we host local acoustic artists (and one Monday a month we host North Devon Jazz Club). There is always something fun and exciting happening at The Beaver Inn!

                                                                                                                We had a great dinner - fish pie and cod & chips all delicious. There was a shanty band playing which added to the ambience! Great service.

                                                                                                                Really tasty fish pie with side salad which had a delicious vinaigrette and crusty bread with butter. Hearty food. Great quality. Plenty of atmosphere. We shall be back. Great Pub.

                                                                                                                Tuesday 14 November evening. The Beaver Inn is in a great location in the lovely village of Appledore in North Devon and sits on the river Torridge. I lived in the area for many years and loved it. This was a recent visit with my daughter to visit friends. We are all now so much older, so, mobility is an issue, especially as one of us is recovering from a second hip operation. Unfortunately, there were sand bags at the main door, so, we had to transverse the other entrance, which meant steps with no hand rail. Then, steps up to the restaurant which fortunately had hand rails. We coped as we understood the need to protect the property with the sand bags due to its location and proximity to the river, which is tidal. Whilst the waiting staff were very attentive and good, my main constructive criticism would be that, we had not removed our coats or sat down, before we were asked if we would like to order any drinks, we naturally declined until we were comfortable. The food and service was excellent and very good value. Yes I would definitely recommend this establishment. Jenny Hocking

                                                                                                                Booked Sunday lunch after long walk, staying in Appledore for a week. Did not disappoint. Roast beef was delicious, one of us has seafood salad which was also very tasty. Pudding was sticky toffee and brownies, so very yummy. Fabulous service, lovely atmosphere. Sat in bar area with our dog. Made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend this great pub
