   Small restaurant was open where we sat and the door leafing to the outside was located in this area with people constantly coming in and out ! EXPENSIVE Menu was expensive for what we are - sea bass small portion with limited prawns and potatoes - had to eat with a spoon as it was more like a soup. Outside renovations going on which made the entrance and view of the garden looked a mess and not what you would expect at this time of the year Disappointed with booking and visit

   RUBY WEDDING TREAT. We booked the four poster bed suite 66. Lovely room, very comfy big bed and a large window facing the lake….Perfect ! The hotel has some age and history about it which makes it all the more charming. The food was spot on as was the room service. Staff very nice and friendly. A 3 min walk into town centre

   Had a fabulous stay at the belsfield .staff very helpful and friendly .Evening meal beautiful. Would definitely recommend this hotel ..luxury .

   Tricky review. Our server was great. Very personable. Other staff unaware of their effect on diners - leaving doors open, bellowing instructions to other staff. Hoovering in background, laundry baskets bring trundled past. It all created an atmosphere that diners were of secondary importance. Food was ok. Menu very limited. No Sunday lunch menu . Main restaurant not being used & it felt like we had been shoved in a side room. However the view is lovely!!

   It’s the most terrible dinner experience in the UK. The warm Asian salad was Asian noodles without any Asian vegetables or cashew, it was totally different thing written on the menu. We asked the waiter for it, he told us it’s normal and it is the dish they write on their menu!

   The room was spacious with a grand view, the bathroom was good. However the room it self was in need of an upgrade. Worn carpet gaps against the wall. Our first dining experience was terrible. We waited for 15 minutes to be seated for dinner and 20minutes for breakfast on the first evening and next morning. The staff did there best but were under staff. The cooked breakfast was not offered and no waiters asked us if we would like it or even a cup of tea. For the cost of stay it is grossly overpriced, charging for a spectacular view and little more.

    Some of the waiting staff (though polite and sweet) seemed out of their depth. Service was slow and the steak (£35) turned out to be just that, with one slice of tomato and a mushroom. Note to staff - if a customer declines extra sides, it should be pointed out that the steak doesn’t come with anything. It was all a little underwhelming.
