Bel Air’s Le Bistro restaurant is a hidden gem, offering contemporary French cuisine in a casual fine dining atmosphere. Chef Julien Clément uses international cooking techniques with the freshest, most natural ingredients to craft delicious dishes. We were a party of 11 and had an underwhelming experience. Most of our selections that we attempted to order were out, considering the fact that we had to have credit card on file for this reservation. The ribeye was too charred to be enjoyed as shared by all of the guests at the table that order it (3). I had the lamb chops and while I have nothing to compare it to - as this was my first time having lamb chops, I enjoyed it. The chicken dish was good as well as the fries that came with that meal. We tried ordering different cocktails or beverages only to our dismay, many of the ingredients or spirits needed to make the drink they were out of. The service was sub-par. I didn’t enjoy the experience mainly because of the service. We had to remind our server several times of things we ordered throughout the experience. I did not enjoy my experience and I would not recommend.

We were forced into a fixed menu even though it was not explicit in the reservation or online, reservation was for the dome but they would not sit us out there, and the cocktails were the worst tasting cocktails I’ve ever had. The food was quite good though. We would not return due to the poor service.

I booked a table in advance and we were seated promptly. The waitress came over and offered us water and handed us a menu. That was the extent of our dining experience. The next 30 minutes we sat and waited. She didn’t come by again, no apologies, etc. The table next to us were complaining about the wait too. Rather than let the experience ruin our night, we got up and left and let the front desk know. We went to another restaurant and had a wonderful meal with great service.

Delicious and a wonderfully unique setting inside a clear geodesic dome. When we were too full to eat dessert they packed into a takeaway bag— including the ceramic bowl! We cannot wait to return!
