Welcome to the Black Bull.
Tucked away in rural Lancashire, between cloud topped hills, green fields, rolling pastures, and lots of cows... sits The Black Bull Inn.
Nestled in the picturesque village of Old Langho, our stone building has been here since the 1500s. Steeped in history it has it's own warm welcome to travellers from far and wide.
Our menu is fresh, local and has a nice balance of those "pub classics" but brought up to date in modern and inventive ways.
Dog friendly in the bar area or garden, and plenty of cosy seating available in front of our roaring fires, in The Library, or in our gorgeous, beamed, renovated Fire Barn.

    Lovely pub food, classic dishes, and some surprises and specials. All meals came perfectly cooked, and service was attentive but discreet. Beautiful country pub with roaring log fires. Will definitely be returning.

    Our experience at the Black Bull was excellent from arrival we received very good service. Food was outstanding my husband had the steak he said it was excellent. I had the braised lamb but to my taste it was a bit salty.

    Enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast, meeting with friends. The Black Bull is also ideally located to go for a nice walk to work up an appetite, but due to the snow today we decided to just eat on this occasion! The cheesecake was also amazing! Will definitely return to sample the wider menu!

    Rather noisy with a large group on adjoining table which spoiled the ambience, also the wife not very happy with her seafood risotto which was drenched in oil and supposed to be a boulibaise sauce. Everything else was excellent

    First time here, room was very nice, all the staff said please and thank you, if you ask a question it wasn't any trouble finding information out, very enjoyable, its obviously a place that wants to try, both for visitors and keeping locals happy.
