At the Cartford Inn, we offer a brand of hospitality that is truly unique, hallmarked by an award-winning restaurant, boutique hotel, delicatessen and art gallery. Our location is enviable, with guests able to enjoy panoramic views of the Ribble Valley and Fylde countryside whilst dining. Our décor is quirky and eclectic, in keeping with our building’s 17th century heritage, but with a modernist twist.

Of course the main attraction is our 2-Rosette winning, Michelin recommended restaurant. Run by head chef Chris Bury, we offer the finest quality food without the fuss, in an atmosphere that is warm and unpretentious. Expect a discernible French influence, evidenced by our renowned French onion soup – a dish that is well worth a visit in its own right.

First time at the Cartford for lunch. Were shown to our table swiftly and drinks order taken. The server gave us plenty of time to order our starters and was very accommodating when we went for several to share. We all had the Roast which was superb, beautifully cooked pink beef, crispy crackling on the pork, fluffy roasties and huge Yorkshires, tbh it’s the best roast dinner I’ve ever had when eating out. All too full for puddings so just opted for coffee. The Poulton Brass Band came in whilst we were dining playing Xmas carols which was quite lovely. We will definitely be back for another Sunday roast. Good good from us from start to finish.

A very good experience this lunch time .I did go a year ago and the chef was not helpful regarding dietary requirements at all dinner reservation but this time they couldn’t have been more helpful Staff were pleasant, efficient and there wasn’t a long wait..Tasty scallops that the dressing was changed to a good quality garlic and butter dressing instead of the sriracha sauce .I had the Belly Pork off the Sunday lunch menu which was succulent ,tender not stringy and great crackling outside ,veg were good ,too.I would go back again .

We were seated in an overspill area that was very noisy We asked to be moved but just told no. Completely spoiled special dinner with my daughter from Paris.

Had a birthday lunch at the Cartford Inn. No real complaints, it was an interesting menu with one or two surprises. The dessert menu is limited but we enjoyed the choice that we shared. Thank you.

A magnificent meal oysters followed by lobster Thermidor which was exquisite. The whole evening whilst expensive was superb. What more can I say

We had a wonderful festive afternoon tea celebrating my Mum’s 91st Birthday. The food was exceptional, service superb, going above and beyond for my elderly Mum. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you for helping us making fabulous memories.

Truly outstanding meal here. Came to celebrate a family graduation and perfect place. The food was outstanding and service excellent. It’s a gem of a place and good value too. Very highly recommended!

Another really lovely evening with our friends at our favourite Cartford Inn. Hospitality and food is second to none…it’s no wonder you are voted the best. See you on New Years Day…if not before!!
