   The service was excellent at The Cavendish Arms in Cartmel. Not too much but we were checked in with regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Service was quick and the food was fantastic. Just one small point … we were seated at a large table for 8 by the kitchen and the service bell that the kitchen staff sounded to indicate food was ready did get a bit annoying after a while. But otherwise a wonderful experience from arrival to departure. Thank you.

   A fabulous Friday night dinner as usual at one of our favorite venues in Cartmel. The sea bass special was excellently seasoned and presented as was my wife's Salmon dish. A great range of food and drinks to choose from too with friendly service in a warm environment. We will be back soon!

   Great staff, very efficient. Great quality food, we both had steak pie it was delicious and home made. Good choice of beers and wines, with an amazing beer garden to sit and enjoy the sun. Would totally recommend and we will be back!

   Friendly service, great food and very reasonable wine list. We had dinner and breakfast. Definitely the place to go to in Cartmel

   We visit Cartmel every year at this time for the race meetings and always enjoy visiting the Cavendish. It’s a little haven of peace amongst the noise and crowds on race days, even though it’s right in the centre of the village and a stone’s throw from the course. Food is consistently of a high standard, with a nice varied menu that caters to all tastes. Service is friendly and efficient and prices are very reasonable. Absolutely lovely and highly recommended.

    Great table for our large booking in a lovely room with big round table. Food was excellent as always and staff were attentive, warm and friendly. Great ambience - always enjoy eating here. Never any pressure on time and dog friendly too. Always try and book a table at The Cav when we’re in Cartmel
