The Chalkboard Kitchen + Bar is a cozy restaurant tucked in the lower level of the historic Ambassador Hotel. Etched in history as one of Tulsa’s most iconic dining experiences, we serve world-class cuisine in a stylish and approachable setting. Chef Tom Daley, a Tulsa native + Oregon Culinary Institute graduate, brings experience from fine dining to farm-to-table and a passion for crafting incredible dishes while giving back to the community.                                             We opened with an appetizer, lamb chops that were chewy, however the slaw was good. My Cajun salmon had no Cajun seasoning and we do much better at home, the duck was better but there was no wow factor to the main meals. We split a wedge salad that was a little too much dressing but well presented & tasty. Our first time at the chalkboard back in 1980 and the early years was so much better. Of course all meals were written on a chalkboard but each meal was so good. Doubt we ever make it back as we were also disappointed with our last visit with friends. It’s sad.

                                            I've been here many times but its never been great. On my last visit, service was slow and the Salmon entree was bland. I may give it another shot but not likely. Too many other great options downtown.

                                            The Chalkboard always has wonderful food and service! They had a full house the day we lunched with them so it was a bit noisy. The service was excellent. I highly recommend giving The Chalkboard a try!

                                            Spent a special anniversary here with the valentines menu, food was exceptional and full of flavor. Service was adequate, it was a busy night but it gave us time to enjoy the dinner. Will be coming back soon to try the full menu

                                            The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was also really impressive. The food was good, but nothing crazy. Would go back again to try something new, but would never order the same thing again.

                                            Went here for Valentine’s Day and the environment was very romantic. Dimly lit with live music. The food and service was decent. The steak entrees were a bit overpriced for what I got. Steak was cooked a hair over and the asparagus were under cooked. Drinks and everything else were great.
