Absolutely recommend, great meal and service so friendly & warm, nothing is too much. 5 ad, 1 toddler & a small dog. Justin & Ashley are great hosts and our waitress today 31/12/24 @ 1pm was amazing. Have been several times before on different days & times & always the same wonderful service. Both carvery and main menu strongly recommended. Can’t wait until our holiday home reopens in March ‘25 so we can visit again. Thank you for a great time xx

Really like this place, it's got a lovely atmosphere, warm and comfortable, it's dog friendly throughout which is great for us. The food is lovely, we didn't have the carvery but it looked amazing! The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming . We will definitely be back

Staying in the local area for a week, saw the sign for the countryman and decided to book a table for the carvey on Sunday. We turned up with our dog at 2.45pm and shown to our table. Ideal position in a corner with plenty of room for us and the dog to lay out. We both went for the carvery and I can tell you yhat you won't be disappointed, choice of 3 meats and help yourself to roasties and plenty of vegetables. Only £13.95 for the regular size, there is a small plate for children and a large plate for those with a real big appetite. Didn't have room for a pudding but a good selection at reasonable prices. Definitely going back during the week to try something from the daily menu. Very enjoyable visit.

Fabulous from greeting to coffee... Starters original... Love the bread with the salmon... Turkey mains amazing... The best pudding I ever had... Fruit cake and stilton... All the team were enthusiastic and in the spirit of Christmas... Thank you to all... We had a great time... X

Vegetables were under cooked and some were even raw. Suggest you serve Vegetables in dishes so customers can help them self's, serving on the plate is not good if you dont like a particular Vegetable. Pudding, serve Christmas pudding with an option of cream,custard or ice cream.

Can’t fault the day.. Reception was lovely, food was excellent, the staff were so friendly, the overall experience was relaxed.. just right for the day.. We will be going again and would highly recommend..

Fantastic festive menu. Everyone's food was delicious. We had a lot of young kids and babies on our table so it was fairly loud and chaotic, the staff were so accommodating and really made us feel comfortable.

We had to wait a minute or so to be seated. The pub looked cosy. We had the carvery roast. There was a good choice of meats, the potatoes didn’t seem freshly roasted. Veg was nice but if you can’t eat cheese there was not a massive choice. The service was ok. We waited a while to get the bill and ended up paying at the bar. The bill had two extra drinks added on which were not ours. Even when they took them off the bill was still wrong. I know this can happen but it felt a bit intentional. Please check your bill. I wouldn’t visit again.

Steak pie was excellent. Service very friendly and helpful, but food took a long time to arrive( I do accept that Christmas week is a busy week so this was probably to be expected). As a long term vegetarian I was disappointed to have to select from vegan options, and I have never tasted anything quite as unpleasant as the plant life burger. Music was unpleasantly loud, so conversation was difficult, but that could have been just our table.
