Located on the busy A31 near Corfe Mullen, you could be forgiven for driving by thinking it is just another local pub. However this 15th Century Inn, has so much more to offer.Inside there is a lovely bar offering local real ales, & a great wine and spirit selection.The restaurant seats 50 people with more comfortable seating outside on the rear patio. Our large gardens have ample seating for 100 people. We have large heated dining tents that can be reserved for parties of up to 10 all year round. Our River lounge, on the River Stour with comfy seating & heaters is the perfect spot to sit & rewind at the end of a hard days work or sightseeing, while our large private island is great for events, parties & any large gathering.Our chefs Kevin, Chris & Ethan prepare each meal from fresh every day & the great value for money is varied, & we only use the freshest ingredients that are locally sourced & grown.Reservations are not necessary, but recommended at weekends & busy periods.

Service was friendly and efficient. Vegetables were not over cooked and we were provided with sufficient ( this does not always happen in every restaurant). Those of us who had beef, found it tough, but the other roasts were good. There are a few steps and uneven floors so disabled customers should take note.

We were in the area looking for Sunday Lunch so stopped by the Coventry Arms. The pub feel was cramped and didn't flow well inside - but with a large outdoor area. Service was from the bar, although you had to be the correct side of the bar, as I and several after me, were clearly told. The young staff were enthusiastic even to the point of one person trying to take our order twice! Food was hot but quality wasn't great. It's a shame because you could hear the staff doing their best for everyone.

Hi I booked for 6pm and we didn’t eat because they had run out of food, only roast meals available on the hottest day of the year.

I booked a table to make sure. The booking system is simplicity itself. When we got there, there was plenty of room anyway. The food order taken and the wait was good. The food itself was excellent. My wife had the fish and it was very big indeed. I had a pie which was very nice. The portions were perfect for a midday meal. I certainly can recommend this pub.

This is the second time i’ve been here - i was disappointed with the food not as good as before and the service seemed very rushed at times and at other times we were ignored. Shame as we had such a good meal the last time (which was only a couple months ago)

We found this Pub last September, just popped in for a drink, but had the Sunday roast, it was excellent, will try an evening visit next time. This time we had the pie of the day, absolutely fantastic, great summer pub, with the large garden down to the river.
