The Dawson Is a new Bar and Restaurant that is located in the heart of midtown just off 5th ave, walking distance to Rockefeller centre, Radio City, St Patricks Cathedral, Bryant Park. We are a family owned Bar & Restaurant serving Fine Fare, Craft Beers & Libations. We host private events on our mezzanine level with custom packages. Come join us to sample some of Chef Eduardo Villegas signature dishes like Brick Chicken, Braised Short rib, Mansion burger, Ricotta & Sweet potato flatbreads and much more!

We had a wonderful Christmas lunch at the Dawson ! Tasty bites and splendid cocktails! Service was excellent as well !

The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas! We had high hopes as soon as we walked in that we found a great restaurant. We were a party of 9 and I made the reservation weeks in advance because the menu looked like it met the needs of everyone in our party. However, when the waitress came over to our table and informed us that they were working on a limited menu (meaning no flatbreads, no entrees, and some appetizers weren’t available), several of us were immediately disappointed. We shifted gears and picked food from the options we were given, and stayed in a positive mindset. Unfortunately, the amount of time it took to receive our food, in addition to only seeing the waitress one more time, really made the mood a frustrating one. It took a VERY long time for a few sandwiches — over an hour. The waitress was walking around, but wasn’t making her way over to our table to check on us. The food we received was decent, but we won’t be back. There’s way too many other restaurants in NYC to try.

The food was delicious and we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. It was decorated for Christmas and was beautiful. My husband loved his truffle fries and shrimp. My chicken sandwich sliders were delicious as well. We would definitely return here when we are back in New York.

Nice option for late night food that was still substantial, good, and modestly priced for the area. Burgers and chicken sandwiches were good, fries were fairly average. Service was nice. We sat upstairs and the ambiance and sound levels were conducive to a conversation which was nice.

Always enjoy our time there. Service is great and the drinks and food are good. We had a problem with one of our dinners and they were quick to fix the problem and did everything to make sure we were satisfied which was very much appreciated.

It was a very nice venue. Very crowded so noisy. Was seated promptly but took a while before we were visited by our server and asked if we wanted a drink. She was very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. We ordered the Dawson burger and salad. Both would have been good except the salad was overdressed and the hamburger came nowhere close to the temperature I ordered. I wanted medium rare and received well done. Not even a slight hint of pink. Also wasn't too hot. The fries had potential but were a mish-mash of pieces and were a little soggy at that. Really disappointing.

Overall, pretty good. Service was great. I took a few points away because of the food. Coffee was not great. Also, the bread for avo & toast was a bit off.

Food was good but the service was terrible. Our waitress wanted our drink and food order immediately after we sat down. She never came back to check on us or ask if we wanted more drinks or dessert. We will not be back.
