For over 30 years, The Elderberry House has been recognized as the premier fine dining destination in the area. This European haven, nestled in the Sierra Mountains just minutes from Yosemite National Park, lends itself to an unforgettable evening for gourmands and wine enthusiasts.

Dinner at The Elderberry House is a thrill for the senses, showcasing seasonal ingredients from local farms that harvest exclusively for our culinary team. We are currently offering a seasonal three or five-course tasting menu. Start the evening off with a hand-crafted cocktail at The Cellar, a craft cocktail bar.

In order to provide you with the best dining experience, we request 48-hour advance notice for any guests with dietary/allergy restrictions. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available, kindly let us know in advance.

Please know we have an age minimum of 8 years and older in the Restaurant to ensure an intimate environment.

Dining at it's finest! The 4 course paired meal was a delight to the senses. Beautiful and so tasty. The wines paired nicely with each course. A once in a lifetime experience! The menu was even specially printed for our 40th anniversary!

My husband and I went to Elderberry House for a nice date night. We started with cocktails in The Cellar and then moved to the main dining room. We tried the Blini's with creme fraiche and caviar and some sparking riesling, it melted in our mouths, so good. We went with the 3 course tasting menu with wine pairing, and both chose the ribeye as our main course. Everything was wonderful and the service was excellent.

Wonderful service and excellent food. Delish! I have wanted to go try this place for years and so decided my birthday was the time. First, we ordered oysters on the half and the chimichurri sauce which I wanted to ask if we put on everything. We had the wine pairing with the chef's 3-course menu, which started with an incredible amuse-bouche of lobster two ways—followed by smoked trout, another amazing dish. The main choices were ribeye or poached halibut. My husband had the ribeye which was divine and I had the halibut, which was very good but a little salty. The finale was this take on a Paris-breast with apple, pecan, and bourbon maple in a pastry. Just lovely. Highly recommend a visit.

Even for an upscale and purposely unhurried dining experience such to be expected at The Elderberry House, the service we experienced was abnormally and surprisingly slow. We did not receive our "first" of three courses until just short of an hour and a half after being seated, even taking into consideration the amuse-bouche and one appetizer. I know the time-line because I contacted our transportation company twice to let him know we would be later than expected. This was not because we were slow eaters, rather because of the slow service. And, after our first glass of wine was poured shortly after being seated (we brought our own wine) we were seemingly forgotten, as our bottle of wine was placed on a side service table away from us. It was a very long time until we were offered our second pour. Unfortunately, our glasses were empty for quite a while. This got better halfway through our meal. We were one of the very first tables seated when they opened that evening, and they were not terribly busy. Perhaps short-handed? As an example, the website states: "your table will be reserved for two hours for a party of up to six". We were a party of five. Our reservation was at 6:00 and we did not receive dessert until 8:50 and departed at 9:00. We were there for three hours even though based on the website they typically allow two hours for a party of five. However, those were the only negatives. The personalized menu (with our name on it) was a nice touch. The ambiance was lovely, and our food was exceptional. Everyone we encountered were very friendly. Stand-out employees were Chris in the bar, as we were there about an hour prior to dinner. He was outstanding in both personality & mixology talents! Jordon in the restaurant sat us and was one of our main servers. He was very professional and stellar in every way! They made our experience even better. Carrie the Concierge was very helpful. Thanks also to Andrea and Erica the Sommelier.
