The majority of vegetables were under cooked except for the brocoli which was so over cooked that I could powder it on to my plate. The chicken was over cooked. I didn't get the opportunity to notify my server as they never came to the table to check

We’d been looking forward to going to The Fat Badger but were deeply disappointed by our visit. Starters were nice and came within 20 minutes. After finishing them we had to wait 40 minutes for our mains to arrive. My wife’s vegetarian pie was bland, the Yorkshire Pudding was inedible and her vegetables were completely tasteless. My son’s sea bass was nice but the risotto was overcooked and mushy and had a weird taste to it. My daughter and I had the Bean Burger which was very average but again completely tasteless. I complained about the wait twice and was told the first time that ‘it’ll be here in 5 minutes’-10 minutes later it still wasn’t with us and I had to complain again. It’s only fair to say that the pub took off the price of a round of drinks for me for the delay, but I spent £130 on the evening and got very, very poor food in return. It’s a lovely place with a good ambience but it appears we’re not the only customers to have had a bad experience here. A real shame

Service and ambience was really good but I was disappointed with my pork dish as it was not value for money in my opinion. I am yet to find the small potatoes under the pork and sauce it said it came with. The other guests were happy with their burgers! 😁

My regular place to eat and take visitors, they had made a small mistake on my last visit and went out of their way to correct it, remembered who I was even though my regular visit is maybe twice a month and mad me feel valued, THAT IS WHAT I CALL EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS wow !!!!

The Fat Badger may be a small restaurant, but it offers a lovely atmosphere with lush lighting and charming decor. It feels cosy and inviting, making for a wonderful dining experience. The food is amazing—so full of flavour and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the Badger Burger; it was incredibly tasty and left me wanting more. Overall, a fantastic place to enjoy a meal in York. I'll definitely be returning!
