The Foundry Rooftop restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Dayton. Inspired by the fire within foundries, the factories that produce metal castings, this wood-fired kitchen embraces the flame. Devour new takes on internally-inspired cuisine with our Loaded Potato Pizza and Ingot Crab Crakes, or our signature Foundry Reuben and Charred Meatballs. Hearty, midwestern favorites from Chef's David Belknap and Jason Findley anchor our menu like our Crispy Pork Belly and 24-Hour Chicken. And with a combination of smoked whiskeys, classic cocktails, and local beers, you’ll always have the perfect pairing of spirits to enhance the heat of your meal.                   Fun location, stylish decor and great pizzas. We went for Sunday brunch and they were at maybe 40% capacity. The natural light and view was appealing and the decor was stylish. We were seated efficiently in a comfortable table and took our time to enjoy the meal. We felt the brunch menu had plenty of options that were reasonably priced. We ordered the breakfast pizza and the avocado toast to share both. The portions were large and the pizza was a standout hit with a perfectly crispy wood fired crust and delicious flavors. We were not head over heels with the avocado toast due to the dressing that had a heavy vinegar flavor but the quality of the ingredients were good and portion generous. The service was a little rocky with the server not knowing the dishes and forgetting beverages but it was overall a pleasant experience for us during brunch. We'd go again.

                  The service was excellent and we love the edgy feel of the restaurant and the decor. Food was very good. The salmon was excellent as well as the Waygu beef tips; however, one slice had a thick layer of fat on it.  it’s our second time at the restaurant and we truly enjoyed it. Will be back!

                  We ordered the burrata, a ribeye, and a meat pizza. The burrata had a lot of flavor and was very good, although we did ask for more of the bread to go with it, the ribeye had potatoes and broccoli. The potatoes were the best part of the dish; they were cooked through and slightly crispy on the outside and salty. The broccoli had little to no flavor as well as the steak. The steak was cooked properly temperature wise, however it had no flavor and I expected more value for the cost of the dish. The drinks came out promptly, although the wine glass had food stuck to it when it came to the table. The atmosphere was loud since it was a Saturday night and there was a dj playing club style music, and the televisions in the dining space seemed out of place and distracting with the news on. For a date night I don’t think we will be back as we were not impressed.

                  When I made the reservation, it was not noted that the time I selected would be a brunch menu. The menu was extremely limited compared to the normal menu. Had I known it was a limited brunch menu, I would have chosen a different restaurant.

                  T bones were smaller than I would get from Sams Club, ordered medium rare came out mooing and full of fat. Looked like they took a regular size t-bone and butterflied it to get two. Limited menu due to valentine's day but honestly could've done better at home for a third of the price. Service other than the host and quickness that they brought water originally was lacking. Server barely talked to us other than "are you ready" or "did you make an entree selection yet". For $80 a person this was way below what I was expecting. These were Fleming prices without the quality of food or service.

                  I went to The Foundry for the first time with my husband on 2-15. There was a pre-fix menu for Valentines Day that was $80 per person. This was a very low quality meal, not worth $80 per persons at all. I have dined at all buffet types of restaurants at different price points and the quality of food was not good at all- from the appetizer to the dessert. I was excited to try a new place in Dayton, disappointed with this choice.

                  Delicious food for a lively Valentine’s Day Dinner. The rose upon arrival and saxophone player/band live music were a nice unexpected touch. Thank you for a beautiful evening!

                  Service was very slow, although it was Valentine’s and they were very busy. Food was average, at best. Ordered a medium rare steak, but what I received was well done. I should have sent it back, but at that point we had waited so long we just wanted to move on. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion in Dayton I suggest choosing someplace else.
