   We had four meals. They were not as hot as they should have been. I don't think the plates had been warmed. The halloumi fries were so salty that they were almost inedible. Otherwise food was fine.

   Fantastic place, superb food and very attentive staff, really enjoyed our lunch. Dog friendly and offered, water bowl and biscuits, lovely touch. Overall excellent, can’t wait to go back.

   We were sat at the front of the pub, we booked an early table at 6 as I had my parents in their 70s with us. It got very noisy, both the music and groups of younger people just coming in for a drink. Needs more segregation between the bar area and eating area. We couldn't hear ourselves talking. Can't fault the food and service though, both were great

   A lovely restaurant, our meals were delicious 😋 There was an issue with 1 of our meals but was rectified quickly

    Having booked using OpenTable we messaged the restaurant through the App and had no reply. When I contacted the George direct they advised that they hadn’t received our booking or message from OpenTable, apologised and had no availability for the time we wanted. Fortunately, Gemma at the George contacted us about an hour later to offer me a cancellation that suited us well. We were so pleased with our visit. The George isa great place, well presented with welcoming atmosphere and really pleasant staff. The Sunday menu included roasts and other really enticing dishes. The food was excellent and good value. No complaints whatsoever about the George and we will return. With regards to OpenTable, we will book direct with the restaurant next time.
