The Great Room Restaurant is undoubtedly one of Northern Ireland’s most extraordinary restaurants. Thanks to the remarkable original Victorian interior with its glass cupola, Ireland’s largest chandelier an array of plasterwork detailing, the space is second to none. Needless to say our chefs search tirelessly to bring the finest seasonal ingredients together in eloquent dishes in thoughtfully prepared menus, just one of the reasons The Great Room Restaurant was awarded 2 AA Rosettes. All this is complemented by expert service and a wine list to which all the superlatives apply!
Mid- week lunch is served Monday to Friday from 12.00 to 14.15

Our three-tiered silver stand boasts finger sandwiches, scones and a delicious selection of seasonal cakes and pastries, including mince pies and Christmas cake; all accompanied by your choice of tea or coffee. Festive Afternoon Tea will be served in The Great Room Restaurant, The Great Room Lobby and The Veuve Clicquot Champagne Lounge.

    My husband and I were again not disappointed. The food combinations were delicious … Covid actions that we have never had previously. The fish was cooked beautifully and the food was very well presented on the plate. The staff were very attentive to us throughout. A great evening and we will be back. Thank you for a lovely evening!

    We were slightly underwhelmed with our experience! We waited nearly an hour for our starter, we weren’t offered bread had to ask! the cut of fillet I was served for my main was cooked well but was chewy not what I was expecting!! We’ve eaten in the great room a few times over the years and have always loved it sadly not this time.

    Perhaps the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been in. Food and service were excellent. Definitely one of the highlights of my visit to Belfast.

    Thanks to Chef. Had several allergies and intolerances in our group but were looked after really well. Food amazing too.

    The great room was recommended by a local in Belfast. The setting and ambience cannot be beat. The service was impeccable. I chose as a starter sun-dried tomato soufflé-amazing. And from my main I chose the root vegetable Wellington.  again another. all the dishes I saw being presented going past me. Looked amazing. Definitely a must do when in Belfast.
