The Cafe food and drinks menu is bursting with fresh flavour, made with the finest quality ingredients and created with The Grounds own grown and locally sourced produce. The Cafe at The Grounds has team of chefs who constantly push the boundaries and reinvents the classics in order to deliver you perfect flavour combinations that will make you want to come back time and time again.

NOTE: At The Cafe, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to dine in, we operate on a walk-in only basis for smaller tables during peak hours. If no tables are available on arrival, we will add you to an electronic waiting list and text you when your table is ready, leaving you free to explore the rest of The Grounds. Rest assured, all groups on the wait list will be able to dine-in on the day.

With 2 adults and 5 kids we found it wasn’t overly child friendly. Felt like we were inconveniencing staff asking about morning tea food for the kids rather than breakfast and with allergy questions. Was served food on platters with no plates or spoons. Food was okay but coffee order was wrong. Was hard to flag down staff and none came to check in. Very disappointed given all we had heard about the venue. Was hard to get around with a pram but the Claris display was amazing.

Lovely venue, helpful staff. Had to return food as cold on two plates. However, replaced immediately.

We were really hot in the area near the kitchen and asked to be move to a cooler location. They moved us near an open door with lovely breeze and views

The venue was very busy, and the staff appeared to be rushed, though there was minimal interaction with them. The food was overpriced for the portion sizes, likely reflecting the venue’s location rather than the quality of the meal.

We have loved coming here for years, but seems to be every time we come back we are just more & more disappointed with the service and unfortunately the food (first time ever) We did request room for a pram also, and it was provided... right in front of the kitchen super loud for a 4month old baby and the amount of times the pram got knocked with my baby sleeping as serves where going past was ridiculous. We were here to celebrate our grandmothers/great grandmothers birthday and the experiences was overall terrible not what we have had in the past. Also waited over 20mins for the bill as there was some sort of mix up while we just wanted to get our babies home. Not sure if we'd come back after this visit...

We do have allocated tables where there is room for prams for the guests, I can understand it can be loud sat near the kitchen but we do always try accomodate different needs for customers and can change your table if requested so please let us know next time. A great experience and the food was top notch. Highly recommend but you def need a booking. Very busy but food and service was excellent.

A visit to The Grounds of Alexandria cafe on a weekend is a must, with its vibrant atmosphere, stunning decor, and mouthwatering menu. Our breakfast was outstanding, featuring perfectly cooked scrambled eggs on toast (delicious) and a refreshing lemonade and passion fruit drink. The cafe's charming aesthetic only adds to its allure. Service was impeccable.

Went to Grounds of Alexandria for brunch with my mum and it was fantastic. The food and drinks were lovely, ambience was buzzing and busy especially for a Monday! The Claris theme displays were stunning and we took so many beautiful photos. Will definitely come back soon :)
