We normally have a really good experience but this time the food really missed the mark. First we noticed they raised their prices which is the norm nowadays but the food quality didn’t match those raised prices. The steaks were TOUGH and the polenta wasn’t as creamy as usual. It was cold inside which is also normal for this time of year and they did have heating lamps but only one was on directed at one table. The other one was off but after a few sips of wine, we acclimated. The service was good. I think the gentleman was new since every time we asked a question, he had to ask another worker which was fine….he was attentive and polite. The only real beef we had was with the beef itself and for paying over $200 and not being happy with the quality served, we might not go back unless we aren’t too hungry and are good with drinks and appetizers since their arancini app is DELICIOUS!

We love this place. We recently went to Prime Table for our anniversary and there is no comparison. The Gypsy Bistro his hands down better than most other restaurants in this entire area. Food is made fresh and served with enthusiasm and friendliness. Highly recommend!

We went there for our anniversary. The food quality was good and better than any other place in the Lockeford area for sure. The ambience was different than most but quaint. The restaurant is located inside an old concrete winery wine tank. The restrooms are located about a block away but are nice once you get there. The chef prepared a great ribeye and rack of lamb for my wife and I and we enjoyed it.

We noticed plenty of staff however the service was snail slow took over an hour for our food and it was just pasta. Our tea and wine took over 20 minutes from when we ordered it to get to our table. The waitress never came back around to ask if we needed anything or to refill drinks. The waitress had 2 dish rags hanging from the back of her jeans which looked very unpleasant. We have had similar experiences there but decided to try again and now we will not go back.

I've wanted to come here for a while and finally got it to work into my travels...I was not disappointed! Staff and service was amazing, food was even better. We'll be back!
