The service and ambiance were 5-star. The food was good but was not served warm so that was disappointing. We had a very enjoyable lunch with the chocolate pie a definite highlight. We will be back but hope the kitchen gets sorted out so meals are served warm.

Stopped by The Henry for brunch at 10:30 AM after a 10K race, and it was a fantastic experience overall. Service: Originally booked a table for three on OpenTable, but we had three extra guests. The staff was very understanding and accommodated us with only a short three-minute wait—definitely appreciated! Our food arrived in about 15 minutes, and the service was friendly and efficient throughout. Food & Drinks: I had the 2 Eggs Breakfast and paired it with The Butcher coffee. Both were solid choices—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying after a morning run. Ambience: The restaurant was very clean, and although one bathroom trash can was overflowing with paper towels, everything else was well-maintained. The atmosphere was great—not too loud, so we could easily have a conversation. Parking: The only downside was parking. It’s strictly street parking, and finding a spot was a bit of a challenge. Overall: The Henry is a great brunch spot with a welcoming staff, good food, and a clean, comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend making a reservation, especially for larger groups. I’d definitely come back again!

I came here with my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day and had their 3 course prefixed menu. Honestly, we were blown away. The food was spectacular and the dessert blew our minds away (especially the molten butter cake). Our waitress was also really nice and gave us recommendations for Mexican food for our stay in SD. We would certainly come again and it’s broken our top 5 food places.

We had reservations and went ina rainy night. They sat us in the patio edge where it was very windy and we kept getting gusts of rain hit us. It was cold and difficult to enjoy our company and food. The food was ok, small portions and the food was only warm. The staff were rude and I accommodating. The experience and food wasn’t worth the price. Very disappointed. Not to mention we were celebrating my daughter’s 20th birthday and they did nothing to make it special.

The food was truly great as usual… I think the hostess was having a bad day, so I won’t name or fault her for the service she gave us. But our waiter Peter gave us an amazing experience and was super kind. A shout out to Peter for his professionalism and for the great service he provided us. Truly an outstanding individual that made us feel special as we celebrated a special day. Thank you. I always recommend The Henry for its consistency of being one of the greatest restaurants in San Diego.

It is an amazing place from beginning to end. Started with a birthday card which this is a first in my dinner experiences. First. the pineapple with tequila and mezcal is the best, then the appetizer of bries was very tasty. Wish they could have more vegetarian dishes but the bowl had the perfect taste. Finally, the dessert was out of this world by mixing a favorite of mine with a not so favorite but they made it perfect the key lime brulee. Our waiter was also very attentive.
