Untrained staff, so many mistakes. The place strives to be high-end, but fails. Gorgeous room and view.

2 of the 3 steaks totally undercooked. We know this place cooks on the "rarer" side so we ordered medium and the steaks were still mooing. Fries had a terrible aftertaste like they need to change the fryer oil. Service was rushed, but thankful to the front of the house for sitting us before our full party arrived (all were on time). They changed the menu as well, underwhelming. This is typical of these expensive NJ restaurants that forget they are close to NYC but benefit from the tunnel traffic. I'll uber to Manhattan next time. A cooked steak will be worth the wait. Luckily my wife's meal (her birthday) was good and the night was clear so the view was amazing.

Beautiful venue! Always a nice evening at Highlawn. Views of the city are spectacular. Food was delish. Service was amazing. Ate in the lounge. Live piano/music was wonderful. The lighting in the lounge was a bit bright for my liking otherwise an incredible evening. Highly recommend!

The new menu at The Highlawn is a worth while addition. While some dishes were exceptional, the overall experience was enjoyable. I would highly recommend .
