I pushed my family to come here for the second year in a row for Christmas Eve. They didn't want to return, but they did for me. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. We were seated right near the door to the host stand and it was FREEZING. We had to eat with coats on and could not see or enjoy the fireplace. The food was just OK. A great deal of food went uneaten. Two of us had the filet mignon which was chewy and lacking in flavor. The polenta appetizer was so over-fried that it was hard to eat. The shucked oysters were nothing special. One of us enjoyed the duck and another the fra diavolo from the specials menu, however, and the fries here are always great. Two of us had the chocolate cake dessert which tasted like it was made from a Betty Crocker mix box. Even the decaf cappuccinos were bitter and disappointing. We did not order alcohol, and even without that expense, the meal cost over $365.00. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Jaclyn and the rest of the staff were amazing! We had an excellent meal and cocktails, everything was perfect and Jaclyn definitely made our holiday season extra joyful!

This is our go too restaurant. We love the lounge. Food is always excellent and the owner, managers & staff hand always been awesome.

The Hill hits on all cylinders—attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff, a bartender who knows how to make a proper drink, consistently good food, and a lovely head hostess who is chatty and happy to make good wine and food suggestions.

The staff took such good care of our large party at dinner tonight. Everyone treated us with professionalism, kindness, and patience. The food was excellent. Can’t wait to come back here again. Highly recommended!!

Very good food, excellent wine, and superior coffee. We have only 2 criticisms: First, the main course menu has too high a proportion of steaks and chops and other masculine things. Second, the entire dessert menu is composed of cakes. One or two lighter or gooier desserts would be appreciated. We look forward to returning to The Hill, but next time we will probably share a dessert or skip that course entirely.
