Rose Garden Tea Room is set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.

Any party with more than 6 guests MUST call to make their reservation or email tearoom@huntington.org.
Please do not divide your party into multiple reservations, as each Open Table reservation will be treated as individual and will not guarantee adjacent tables.

Please note that visiting the Rose Garden Tea Room requires purchasing admission to The Huntington. When planning to visit the Tea Room, please purchase a separate ticket to The Huntington for the same day as your Tea Room reservation. Tickets are available at huntington.org

Glad to see they have changed up the tea menu a bit. New scones, nrw sandwiches. And new pastries. It should change seasonally. The music was a good addition.

We had a wonderful experience - it was a special occasion - a holiday date and we loved it. The food was delicious and filling; the teas were outstanding and the atmosphere was lovely. The service is good but a little stiff. We asked to light one of the heaters as it was getting cooler and our server was like - maybe - we are at the end of our service so perhaps not - they were still seating people so that was a bit rude. We did get it lit and it made the temperature much better. Not sure why she got like that - it made me think serving people is a bit annoying to her - should not have that attitude when this is a special occasion place and on the expensive side of things.

Lovely afternoon tea. We brought our 9-month old and they provided a high chair for her. If you bring a baby, make sure you count them as a person in your reservation. We did NOT have to purchase a tea package for her given she wouldn’t eat it, which was also nice.

The venue is beautiful and the tea is worth the price. There were four of us and we all ordered the traditional tea rather than the, more expensive, huntington tea option. Soup or salad is an additional cost, but the white bean and panchetta soup was delicious. There are alcohol and cocktail options as well. The aperol spritz were good if you like that drink. The tea selection was simple and every each tea we ordered was delicious. The tea pots were plain white and small but they will refill your tea pot with hot water a couple times. The scones, sandwiches, and sweets were mostly delicious and unique. Our one complaint is the ham and cheese sandwich was plain and dry. It didn't wow us like the lamb sandwich. We would prefer an egg sandwich or chicken salad sandwich instead. The James beard sandwich was an underwhelming mayo sandwich as well. The service was impeccable. Isaac was a great server. Isaac and other staff were thoughtful and preemptively met our needs. They provided a free slice of chocolate cake for a birthday as well. Overall, we had a great experience. I will definitely come back!

We had an amazing experience at the Rose Garden Tea Room. The tea and food were delicious, the surroundings are beautiful and the service was exceptional. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We have been looking forward to this tea experience for months. We were seated outside right by the employee, waiter/waitress door, tucked in a corner looking at wall. The entire time we were eating there were employees going in and out saying “door”. This greatly took away from our experience. This table should not be there. There were many other places they could have sat us. For over $200 for tea and little tea food we were greatly disappointed.

The remodeled tea room is very nice but not quite the charm as the old one. Food was okay but nothing special. Service could use some work. Our waiter was very nice but the service overall was very very slow. Hostess staff did not seem very enthused about working there.

The ambience was perfect. It was a traditional tea. We sat and conversed for more than a couple of hours. Nobody made us feel that it was time to leave. Loved the service and hospitality
