The Imperial is part of a family of classic British gastro pubs each with its own identity. In our stunning Victorian building in the heart of Chelsea, we offer a relaxed dining environment with a warn friendly welcome and a beautiful garden area.

We serve fantastic British food, a selection of wines, cocktails and beers.

We have a large private dining room which can be hired for a special occasion or corporate function.

Good place to meet for beer and burgers before watching a game at Stamford Bridge.

The menu was clearly labelled with various allergens which was very encouraging as our son has an anaphylactic dairy allergy. My son ordered the Vegan/Dairy Free (as clearly marked on the menu) Vegan Roast. The waitress returned 10 minutes later and advised that the potatoes with the roast contained butter as well as the roast as the chef decided to add dairy to a “vegan” roast. Also, the “vegan” tandoori cauliflower sides were actually not vegan. Whilst the waitress was very attuned to the allergies, the management was not and it is amazing after such high profile cases such as Pret that restaurants can be so reckless with labelling and menus.

There was missing some items when the food came out, the service was a bit slow which was weird since we were the only ones there and the waiter seemed a bit lost at times. He was very nice and he made up for it all so I can't fault him too much. Food was good and would probably be back!

While the place was busy due to a Chelsea match day the service was quite poor. It seemed the kitchen had trouble getting meals out. We only ordered a main course and it took about 90 minutes to get out and then we felt rushed in order to get to the game. At one point the server told me another 4 minutes and it was a further 20.

We had lunch before the Chelsea game on Sunday and it was very busy. The waiters were very good and attentive. the star of the show was the pork feast and the puddings which were all delicious.

No one in there 4 staff laying on sofa terrible service only two roasts available with only two left had to leave the table to ask for the bill terrible service - well no service really !

Was really looking forward to our Sunday lunch at the Imperial and what a let down. 6 Months ago I even tweeted about how good the roast was here, and I don't know if our experience was an off day, but the food was poor. Dry potatoes, really poor quality beef, no manager to raise an issue with, made to feel very awkward by wanting at least one of our roast lunches taken off the bill (as we didn't eat the food), so much so that we just paid £45 to get out of there. Just don't go, what a shame standards haven't been kept up.
