   We have dined here before and indeed many times with the group. On this occasion, we were seated in a very poor location, close to the side fore exit, which had no ambience and was extremely draughty. We requested to relocate table which the very helpful front desk host accommodated us. From then on we had great service with good food and good ambience. Table staff very helpful and pleasant and the relocation, made for a very enjoyable evening.

   Service is very poor. We were sat for a good half hour before anyone came over to get us a drink

   Very busy on arrival but met by nice friendly staff. Far too noisy and couldn’t hear my husband who was sat opposite but could hear the couple who were sat extremely close to us! A little disappointed with the food, as in nothing special but quite high prices. Had better evenings at other Ivy restaurants , and more relaxed ie Manchester and York are both very nice. It was my sons birthday and as we had come down separately from him and his partner we were meeting up and wanted a nice celebratory evening and I know the Ivy make a fuss over birthdays with a profiterole etc. The waiter did wish him happy birthday and did bring a candle on some melted ice cream in a silver dish, not what I had hoped and wished I’d brought a cake on myself. All in all we did enjoy ourselves but was shocked at 13.5% being added on what was already an expensive bill. On this occasion I asked for it to be removed as it was optional, for the waitress to say well can you tip the waiter after you’ve paid the re adjusted bill. I was already going to tip our male waiter, but I do not appreciate a young girl telling me what to do with my money so on this occasion I didn’t leave a tip. Would I return…. Not to this ivy I’m sorry to say.

   Great experience. Relatively quiet for a Sunday lunchtime. Service impeccable. Looked after my son's allergies incredibly

   Lovely location, right near to the Station so convenient. Interior was really pretty and was given a table that I requested. Service was excellent, never felt rushed and we all enjoyed our meals.

    We arrived at 6 and initially service was good, although one one drinks menu on a table if 5 did delay ordering. After mains though we were informed we’d be given some time to rest before dinner and from then on the struggle for service was real… my guests loved the bathrooms tho!
