Ive been to the keg in Vancouver and Montreal and your prime rib is just not at par from the rest of the kegs Ive been to. The manager had to replace my meat . It was so thickly sliced and there was no juice, it was dry and cold/warm. I appreciate the replacement which was fine but it was not what I am used to at the other keg.

I booked a table in the dining room and requested a table next to the fireplace. When we arrive we were told that we would have to wait a bit for the table which were were fine with. After half an hour of waiting beyond our reservation time we were sat next to the fireplace in the bar, with a giant tv above it. There were really bright white spotlights shining down right on our faces. I told them that was not what I was expecting and they said that there was nothing they could do about it because they only seat tables of 6 next to the fireplace in the dining room. They said they couldn’t turn down the lights but they could move us to a regular table but we didn’t want to move as we already waited so long and we were hungry. The service was fine other than we weren’t served bread while all of the tables around us were. Our meals were ok, not excellent. The whole table situation left us felt unwelcome and spoiled our mood for our evening. I didn’t realize that 4 people spending $500 on dinner was not good enough to warrant honouring the request that we made when I made the reservation earlier this week. They could have called us and told us ahead of time that we couldn’t have the table that we asked for and then we wouldn’t have had to wait. I would have just went to a real steakhouse. The whole point in going out for a nice meal is to not sit in a sports bar with huge tvs and bright lights but that’s where we ended up. I didn’t realize that the Keg is a roadhouse. Our experience last night was the exact opposite of hospitality.

Rice undercooked and crunchy. Baked and double baked potatoes were not available. Cole our waiter tried to make the best of it

Server was amazing. Potatoes and vegetables were cold. Steak was warm at best. You could tell the food been sitting there a while.

We had a great time for a date night. The noises was a little loud, but that is what happens when you have a building full of people talking. Our server was outstanding and friendly. She knew how to give advice for dinner and wine. It was a great night out.

Server was accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. Ambience was excellent. We had a group and we were loud at times. Whole area was the same. It was awesome! Restaurant food was excellent and the steaks was cooked to our liking. Definitely recommend this place.
