Award-winning Executive Head Chef Jamie Welch has created a new elegant menu for The Library featuring contemporary British dishes with a modern twist.
Freshly prepared by our creative pastry chefs, afternoon tea features reimagined classics including a delectable arrangement of cakes and pastries, sweet and savoury scones served with seasonal jams and clotted cream, and full flavoured finger sandwiches.

    We particularly enjoyed selecting our tea from numerous choices in the tea box. We picked the County Hall blend.

    Overpriced I took the less expensive menu at 70 livres which is Not really cheap and there is not very poor and nothing exceptional Cakes are very sweet I am very désappointed I hoped so much for such an unique experience

    Charged for an experience I did not book, and the servers never clarified what I was there to experience on the day. As such, they overcharged me by £100. Do not recommend.

    La comida no era fresca. Estaba hecha de hacía 1 o 2 días por lo menos. Mi reserva era de £85 y por ser feriado me cobraron £115. Me deberían haber avisado para yo poder decidir si iba o no. Los mosos hablaban entre ellos,no te miraban para ver si necesitabas algo. Muy mal. NUNCA MÁS VOLVERÍA

    Charged for unlimited flowing champagne but didn’t tell it was unlimited champagne - poor food - fair tea - below average service. Buyer beware.

    I had a reservation at 1700, and the area was empty. My family and one more table. Having said that waiters decided to clear all other tables having a feeling of an empty space. Food was extremely poor and especially the sandwiches very bad presented. This is the first time I write a message not saying good things but I was completely disappointed. Maybe I had higher expectations. On the other hand I have to say that the hotel public areas in general are beautiful.

    Very, very expensive for what it is: 6 finger sandwiches, a tiny tart, a tiny bun, 5 gorgeous cakes, 4 scones, 2 pots of ordinary tea was £156. The service was ok and friendly. The food was delicious. The ambiance was nice, but they carried used table cloths through the restaurant -- I know they have to do that, but it felt a bit obvious I guess -- the servers lounged around with untucked shirts.

    Alessandro had all the patience to guide us thru the different teas and plates which help us to really enjoy food and Tea. The place is awesome with a spectacular view.
