The Log Cabin is an upscale restaurant specializing in fine farm-to-table cuisine, specialty cocktails and wines. The historic structure dates back more than 100 years and was once used as a Speakeasy before opening officially as a restaurant in 1933, after the Repeal of Prohibition. Since then, the Log Cabin has become a Lancaster County tradition, playing host to countless birthdays, anniversaries, business events and celebrations of all kinds.

Looking for new wines to try in the New Year? At 6pm on Wednesday, January 8th, The Log Cabin's new full-time sommelier, Kristie Grey, will lead a tasting focused on emerging wine regions. We hope you'll join us to meet Kristie and find a new favorite wine! Going forward, we plan to host just one Wine Tasting from 6-8pm on the 1st Monday of each month. The $45 ticket price includes the flight of 5 wines plus a plate of crackers & dried fruits. Guests may order additional food items a la carte from our Tasting Menu. We had our granddaughter visiting this week from Germany with her husband. Everything was just wonderful. She visits a couple of times a year and we always take her to The Log Cabin. Then at times we go there just to enjoy a great experience.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxed and inviting. The Log Cabin is our go to place for excellence and relaxation. Pricey but worth it on special occasions.

After a few years not dining at The Log Cabin, we returned for our 48th anniversary. The booth room was where we last celebrated so we returned there. There are 3 booths and two tables - all were occupied by couples celebrating their anniversaries. My wife had Pasta Primavira, I had the Salmon Oscar. Both were outstanding. Being non- drinkers I can not comment regarding the libations and the server was excellent as we're all the staff, efficient and friendly. As we finished with coffee, a local roast, Whiff coffee roaster which was very good, the owner of the restaurant made his way around the dining rooms and spoke with each couple. Not just in passing but had actual conversations at each stop, ending with an invitation to explore the facility and look around. Very impressive. The prices are not for the faint hearted but in keeping with a fine dining experience. The decor has been redone and refreshed from the last time we were here; it seems brighter and yet intimate at the same time. We will renew our anniversary tradition at the Log Cabin going forward and more than likely bring family and friends for those special dinner celebrations ahead.

Entrees were excellent. Atmosphere was great. My only complaint is that they charge for bread. I think that is cheesy. As a matter of fact, I was going to get 2 gift cards, but changed my mind because I didn't want the recipients to have to pay for bread. We know salads are now a la carte, but to charge for bread is ridiculous.

We had a very good experience overall! The calamari, seafood pasta entrée, blackened salmon entrée and truffle fries were outstanding. The lamb chops would have been better if they were double cut. Our server was attentive and friendly. The noise level was slightly higher than expected and the wait time on delivery of appetizers and entrées was a bit slow but the restaurant was very busy because they were hosting 3 Christmas party groups. We plan to dine there again in the future.

Amazing dinner as usual. Excellent French onion soup, the lobster-cargo was amazing. Great NY strip steak and filet mignon both perfectly cooked to our liking! Excellent mashed potatoes as well!

We had such a great time at The Log Cabin. The food was really tasty, the drinks hit the spot, and the staff was all delightful. We had the privilege of being there on a night Adam Blessing was playing music, and he was phenomenally talented and entertaining! A tip: Take the tour and get the peanut butter bomb.
