Recommend six small dishes for two people to share. Excellent variety and tastes. Service helpful and cheerful.

Walked up the hill in the snow today for a bit of lunch. Had the mackerel pate and baked goats cheese with honey and pistachio, absolutely delicious with a slice or two of sourdough. Hubby then had the sausage stew, warm and hearty, perfect for a snow day. To finish I had a divine cocktail made by Molly, the Dark Chocolate and Negroni fizz. The Old Post Office never disappoints, the staff were warm and welcoming as always, it is my favourite local place to visit, if you haven’t been yet give it a go, it tastes as good as it looks ❤️

Lovely ambience. Very attentive service with a smile despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy. Food and drink arrived promptly. Was really tasty & we enjoyed everything. Highly recommend.

I just love the Old Post Office. It's history makes it extra special for me. The way it's decorated is gorgeous. Staff are fabulous and food is interesting and really tasty. Thank you.😊

As usual, our experience at The Old Post Office was truly outstanding. The staff are extremely pleasant and attentive, but not intrusive. Although all of the tables were full and the staff were very busy, nothing was 'too much trouble' for them. I recommend booking because this venue has always been busy when I've dined there, no matter what the time of afternoon or evening. As a vegetarian, I chose the baked cauliflower dish and was not disappointed. Gorgeous! My companion chose a burger which she thoroughly enjoyed. The ambience is exemplary and the food is value for money. Five Stars from both of us!
