The Afternoon Tea is the oldest on-going tradition of the Ritz-Carlton Montreal. The first service took place in 1913 and has once again become a fashionable pastime for a new generation of social tea lovers.

the experience is available every day between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

(vegeterian, vegan and gluten free available)

Reservation at least 48 hours in advance. Please mention Kosher Afternoon Tea as a special request when doing your reservation. Please note that our certified Kosher Kitchen is open from Monday to Thursday.

The Palm Court offers an elegant afternoon tea. The ambiance is stunning. The tea selection is diverse, and the food, delicate sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream, and pastries is beautifully presented and delicious. The service was impeccable, insuring every detail was perfect. ❤️

La nourriture est délicieuse, goûteuse tout en étant subtile au niveau des saveurs. Le décor est magnifique. Malheureusement, il y avait un congrès ou autre, bref, un groupe dans une salle privée donc il y avait énormément de va-et-vient et de bruit. Le service s'est un peu gâté à la fin : pour avoir notre facture et nos manteaux, nous avons attendus longtemps. Mais c'est tout de même une expérience à vivre une fois dans sa vie!

Everything was wonderful but my only suggestions would be to make sure that the tea is served in a close timeframe with the food. Our tea arrived far too early and by the time our food arrived, it had cooled down. I would also recommend offering cream or milk with tea. There was a very loud group that took some of the ambience away, but once they left it was perfect. The background music was very nice and the service was great, we were treated very well.

We went for the experience and glad we did. Teas were delicious and enjoyed the ambiance. The food was not good and since wasn’t going for that, was ok with it. Service was slow and barely there. Aside, from taking our order, no where to be found. Had to flag them down to settle the bill and get coats. Now, can say did it and will be one time life experience. No desire or need to go back to afternoon tea. Hope this helps. Thank you.

What a joy this experience was. The setting alone is worth the visit, but of course the food is absolutely delicious and the tea of the highest quality. Simply delightful.

Had an amazing birthday experience with my sister, the tea and treats were exceptional; the scones definitely made me feel nostalgic, definitely made with love, absolutely recommend having tea here, you will NOT regret it.
