    At one point, I was one of the top 10 customers at the Houston Palm in their old location. I have never been to the downtown location under the Landry‘s group. I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was exceptional and well in accordance with what I have been used to in the glory days of the palm. I’ll definitely be back although downtown it’s a bit of a hassle.

    No habia Langostas !!!!! Ni King Crab, increíble, sin embargo el gerente muy amble, nos obsequió una cola de langosta. Me decepcionó que un restaurante de tal prestigio no tuviera uno de los platillos más solicitados. Volveré algún día

    We arrived on time for our reservation (8:00 pm). I even received the text confirmation that our table was ready. Nonetheless, we still had to wait 10 minutes to get sat. After finally being sat, our server was great and got our drinks. It took a bit of time to get our drinks but when he returned, he promptly told us that the kitchen was closing. It was around 8:33 pm. We were a little surprised but understood because it was Christmas. Still, why take reservations if the kitchen is closing? I noticed on open table that I was a no show. I went to speak to the manager who said they cancelled my reservation because I booked it twice - which was completely false - and then said it “disappeared” from the system. It was such a small thing to lie about. I just think he cancelled it and then didn’t want to be bothered. He was dismissive at best. I went back to my table then the manager returned saying he fixed it. By the end of dinner, open table sent me an email that I was a no show. Again, our server was great and the food was good, but it was the front house that just failed expectations and would think twice about returning.

    Bien pero llegué 10 minutos antes y me pudieron pasar a la mesa pero no … esperaron que fueran las 8 y me pasaron a la mesa

    Beautiful interior. No bread provided for the table. Sea Bass was perfectly cooked but a rather small portion.

    Good food, but certainly not the same experience since Tillman bought the palm used to be one of my favorites. Now it’s just another in a long line of corporate restaurant, unfortunately
