    This used to be my favorite steak house. Last night was a big disappointment. The NY strip was an inferior piece of meat. Done medium, it was unchewable. The filet was overcooked and over seasoned. With so many choices in Miami Dade I doubt if I’ll ever return.

    We were quoted one price on a lobster and then they wouldn’t honor it We also had a birthday certificate from the company and we were a few days late. They didn’t honor that either.

    Everything that was good about the Palm before Landry’s has been changed. Bread, crab cakes, carrot cake are all inferior. Terrible now! Poor value and below average food.

    The Maitre D was fabulous finding us another table after we arrived super late because of bottleneck traffic. The waitress was outstanding in every way. Food was even more delicious than usual.

    This is no longer the Palm of years gone by. My friend and I both had the special swordfish. It was prepared poorly, dry, and the fish was obviously not of high quality. The special french fries were okay, but certainly nothing special. We each had one cocktail. Shared a salad and a shrimp appetizer (which were good) and a dessert. $220 plus tip for a truly mediocre meal.

    Always a solid experience at the Palm. I do wish, however, they would consider opening for lunch. The dynamic of the area has changed. A lot more people and younger people that would love to see a lunch menu.

    Old School steaks and pasta. Love the filet mignon and chicken parmigiana. My wife loves the pappardelle. Real waiters who know their stuff.
