The Park Bistro & Bar showcases only the freshest, local and organically grown produce as well as naturally raised meats and line-caught fish. Executive Chef Rodrigo Alvarez has created an approachable, yet inventive menu, presenting a French twist on American fare. With a wholesome and earthy quality, many dishes elevate “comfort” food. Natural light from the romantic inner fountain courtyard, intimate alcoves, a large communal table and versatile private dining spaces. Rustic stone floors, natural wood tables, leather seating and an original art program create a warm and inviting, yet grand and inspiring, space that will create the most memorable dining experience in Lafayette. A solid location for our annual dinner. Food was much better than my family and I were anticipating. Great drinks. Ample parking with garage, lot and street options.

We had a great table for 4 in the corner. Unfortunately, our server wasn’t that friendly. Seemed annoyed we were there. And this was before we had to send two cocktails back because they weren’t correct. That wasn’t her problem, but she wasn’t happy with us sending them back. And we waited nearly 1/2 hour to get our drinks. We had a good dinner, but unfortunately our server just wasn’t very friendly.

I eat out at restaurants 3-4 times a week and this was the first time ever when I checked in and the hostess said “a reservation is just a request, it does not mean that you have a table” even though I made a reservation to sit inside, I was forced to sit outside. This individual appeared to be management which was extremely shocking being that her tone was rude and condescending. I had plans to visit again with a larger group for a bday, but knowing that a reservation is just a request it made me not want to return with friends, family or coworkers for larger gathering due to uncertainty whether we’ll be seated even with a reservation.

Service was not very good. We seldom saw our server. I wanted another glass of wine and I asked another server. Food delivery was very slow. Maybe this was due to the holiday. Loved the holiday decorations.

It was a busy night in the area that we were seated. However, we got there around 5 and didn’t leave til 7:45 … not due to us meandering and socializing due to the holiday gatherings but each aspect of the meal from taking the orders for drinks to food took a long time! They needed more workers to cover the number of patrons. For example, one of my guest noticed our drink order sitting at the bar counter for a long time.
