Lovely food and service was good my only gripe was menu has changed and not so many choices as were before especially desserts

Very warm welcome, staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! Another great visit for a lovely Sunday roast.

My friend and I both ordered the pie of the day. A strange combination. Turkey, pork and mustard, but fortunately, we didn’t notice the mustard. Pie was very good, hot and tasty with a very good selection of vegetables well cooked. Extra gravy was supplied on request. We just thought the surroundings in general were a bit scruffy and we were expecting a new menu as per the website suggested was coming on the 19th January. But just a scruffy old menu with lots of crossings out in pen! And no new food items to pick from. Did we enjoy the meal? Yes, but it could have been so much better in other ways as above.

Had the carvery for myself and wife, and two children ls dinners, the food was lovely, plenty to choose from and not to bad a wait even though they were very busy. Will be going back soon with parents

The reason I go is not just the food but the staff. So many places have as few staff as possible hence you have frenetic staff whose mood is not always good The Plough has lots of staff who pay you the right amount of attention, listen to you,smile and are polite. Yes the food is good, especially the beef but you need lots of good staff to make a place. Top marks and welldone to them all.
