At the Post we are bringing together comfort food you can feel good about with innovative cocktails, a special spirits list, craft beer & wines, the post offers a neighborhood dining experience for sharing a drink or meal with friends, family, or coworkers. Opened by Victoria Breslin in early 2018, the restaurant will serve a menu that changes according to the season. Our chef focuses on ingredients from local, responsible, and sustainable farmers. The bar program will follow the same philosophy with seasonal and fresh new ideas and ingredients.

History
Established in 2018.

The restaurant's name draws from the history of the Main Street building it's housed in, known as the Copeland Building. The historic building, which is on the list of Los Altos Historic Landmarks, originally housed the city's post office.

Like sitting in the newer section of the restaurant by the bar, but surprised the leather benches are worn and should be redone.

We had dinner here on a Saturday evening. The service was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately I’d have to say that the food was entirely forgettable and rather bland (panini, tacos, salad)—more bar-like food if I’m honest. This place is more set up for watching games on giant TVs than a more traditional restaurant. Would not come back or recommend.

Our server was exceptional today. The poke bowl was just so-so, the rice was hard, like it was old, the southwest salad was bland and not interesting. The only good thing was the BLT, which was delish, but cold fries. Probably not going back

There was a very loud band playing next to their outside dining area and it was a cold night, so we opted to sit inside at a table. The room was nearly empty and well insulated from the noise. My wife had the blackened salmon and I had the salmon carbonara, both excellent. I loved the white wine sauce on my dish. We shared a very large Caesar salad which was good, but was a bit skimpy on the dressing. They had an interesting cocktail menu and a nice wine list. We will be back.

Unlike a nice restaurant, it has a bar (or a pub) feel. No linen tablecloth, for example. The service was hurried - got our order wrong. The drink was 90% ice and very little juice. But it's a decent neighborhood place for a quick meal.

Wonderful service, great homemade food. Tomato soup was delicious. Our server a young man with blond hair was attentive and confirmed our order so everything was correct. Will be back!
