    Join us at the Potted Lobster for our Game Tasting Evening. The 6 course tasting menu will be focusing on seasonal game, sourced from neighbouring estates and farms, using traditional and modern cooking techniques to give you a delicious dining experience. For further indulgence why not upgrade to our wine pairing package and enjoy perfectly paired wine with decadent smells, tastes, and flavours to match to each course. Our Game tasting evening is running on Thursday 21st November 7pm onwards, and on Thursday 6th February.

    Mainly a fish menu and ours (halibut and sea trout) was very fresh and delicious, Super friendly staff and all round great experience. This is the second time we have eaten at the Potted Lobster and equally good on both occasions

    Excellent food very well prepared and beautifully presented. Service was rather slow but we were a party of 9. We were very hungry having just done a walk and some complimentary bread would have been welcome.

    January 10th. The restaurant was warm and inviting. The staff were lovely from the start. They were very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. The food was amazing, we shared a starter and had a main each and wine then coffee. We couldn’t find room for a dessert as the portions were generous. We would absolutely go again and take our dogs as there is an area for them too.

    Fantastic food, friendly attentive service. Sadly we were positioned next table to 2 very loud diners in an otherwise empty restaurant , which diminished our experience somewhat. With tip this came in at £50 per head for lunch. Given that we did not order any alcohol and only had starters and mains this was a little pricey for lunch. The food was excellent however.

    We had another fabulous meal at The Potted Lobster The service as always was outstanding and the food such a high standard that we have come to expect from this lovely restaurant. Great choice with delicious specials on the board. Thoroughly recommend!

    Small but very tasty starters. Main lovely. Monk fish, beautifully cooked but a very small portion for £30. Also some asparagus maybe for crunch would have been nice with the risotto. Crème Brûlée, outstanding!
