The Red Lion Restaurant is a great traditional, warm & friendly country pub in the heart of stunning Penyffordd.

HOMEMADE SUNDAY LUNCH

Join us from 12pm to 7pm every Sunday for one of the best homemade Sunday lunches in the region. Hand cut, fresh and locally sourced vegetables & meats complimented by homemade gravy’s and sides.

SPRING MENU

We are thrilled to launch our new Spring Menu, Lounge Menu and our new & improved Sunday Menu as well as our weekly Chef's Specials Menu.

Our Main Menu, Lounge Menu & Chef's Specials Menu will be available

~ Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 5pm - 9pm

~ Friday & Saturday 12pm - 9pm

Head Chef Steve Crewe has created our Spring Menu with customer favourite dishes new & old.

Last minute decision to treat the family to a New Year’s Eve meal rather than cooking at home - 9 of us including a baby - not only did the Red Lion staff accommodate us all given that the venue was very busy, the service was fantastic - prompt, assertive and nothing was too much hassle. What a lovely restaurant area too. Love the picture feature wall and fireplace! The food was outstanding. A mixture of burgers, pies, kids meals and I opted for the fish and chips - bloody amazing! Every plate cleared and every person very happy. Well done, Phoebe and team. We can’t wait to come back (thanks for the red envelope too, we hope it’s a big winner when we do return!) x

What a Lovely Christmas Eve we had, even though it was very busy the waiting on girls were Amazing 10/10, honestly Great food & a Great team Highly Recommend.

Had a Fantastic 3 course Christmas dinner here tonight couldn’t fault any of it, absolutely Delicious 5 of us went & we all Loved it, such good value as well, also thought the Christmas crackers on the table were a lovely touch & as always the girls did a Great job of looking after us & keeping everything running smoothly.

Went very early, so quiet but good food, friendly service. All tables decorated for christmas so cosy atmosphere.

As usual service and food very nice. Although we were four. Three plates of beef and lamb were fine. One plate with turkey not so much. Otherwise as usual all ok

Food was excellent service excellent atmosphere lovely. We took 4 friends and they all said it was the best meal they have had for a long time. Well done to the Chef and all the staff.

Always good food and good value for money. Service was prompt and attentive. Restaurant was busy but bot crowded. Nice food and good beer.

Another Lovely evening at the Red Lion, 5 different meals & all of us thoroughly enjoyed what we had, also want to say how lovely the young girls waiting on are honestly 1 of the Best places to go, Love it here.
