   It was a memorable experience all in all. Except for one minor issue, my son was escorting his gf to the ladies room & one of the staff cleaned their table up assuming they already left. They would have lost their table if he didn’t catch it in time. It was a special night for the couple and just glad it did not ruin their date coz the staff made sure they have their table back.

   We had an awful experience at River's Edge Cafe. The waiter started by telling us he couldn't split check checks. Then he said, he actually could split the checks but it takes a long time. We had time and there were no other tables in the restaurant eating. We think he was trying to leave. Next he told us we shouldn't order margaritas because it's only the bartenders 2nd day and she's slow. He suggested we stick to ordering beer and wine. Having time to spend, some people in our group took a chance and ordered the margaritas which took at least 20 mins to show up. I ordered a glass of wine. All the other drinks came out before mine. I finally got my wine 25 minutes later. The food was awful as well. The $20 cheeseburger was missing one key ingredient - the cheese! The skirt steak was supposed to be well done but it was bleeding pink. The cocktails were actually too strong to drink (and we are professional drinkers). We were staying at the Hilton and came down for a quick dinner. It was a sad last night in San Antonio.

   Mains took forever, menu options very limited, mediocre taste. Service was as attentive as it could be.

   It was very pleasant sitting outside with a great view of the river! Also, the quesadillas were delicious!!

   We stayed at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio, and this was the second time dining at the River’s Edge. The first was for dinner when we first arrived, and the second was for brunch just as we were getting ready to depart. So, the two experiences were great bookends to our wonderful trip to San Antonio!

   Great place to eat inside the hotel! We loved our server Leslie. We asked for her when returned the next morning for breakfast.
