When I made the reservation, I had indicated that it was my fiancée's birthday. I'm not sure about the restaurant's policy or procedures as we've never been to Sicilian Butcher to celebrate a special event (just for normal dining), however there was no mention by anyone about it. It was troubling because the table next to us had a birthday that was acknowledged by at least the server (who was our server as well). That was somewhat disconcerting and lessened my experience.

Food is just OK. Not rich in flavor, we tried the Chef’s special sauce and tomatoes were acid. Different type of meatballs pretty much they taste the same. Hostess kept us await 20 mins even when some tables were open and we did have a reservation.

On Valentine’s Day, I decided to give their five-course meal a try. The initial courses were quite impressive. The shrimp cocktail and zucchini were both delicious. However, the vodka pasta was a major letdown. The sauce was fantastic, but it was severely undercooked. The short rib was good, but it could have been more tender. On a positive note, the dessert was upgraded to a cannoli, which I absolutely loved. The bakery itself looked quite intriguing, with its charming ambiance.

We had dined here several times in the past and had good experiences. This was Valentines Day. Of course, the place was packed and noisy. Service was great, drinks were great. But I think the kitchen was stressed with the demand of the holiday. The entrees left something to be desired. I ordered a seafood pasta dish that was to include clams, shrimp and calamari. There were no shrimp but some kind of chopped up fish instead.

Overall satisfactory , best part of meal was an excellent cannoli . Service was average , not as attentive as it should have been. There was no dressing on our salad. We don’t like a lot but some would have been nice. The rest of the meal was good.

Service was excellent and welcoming, liked the atmosphere, but food wasn't anything special. Would definitely go back, when location is convenient, but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Our waiter seemed aloof and forgot about us a lot. 2/4 of our drinks came late. 1 of our meals was cold, and 1 meal had the wrong type of meatballs. This was my first time at the restaurant but my parents had been here before and loved it, I personally was not impressed by my first experience. I’m hoping this was a one off.
