The Simpson complements Brooklyn’s new restaurant age from Williamsburg to Prospect Park, by offering a seafood friendly Caribbean/Soul Food cuisine and an inspired Classic Cocktail menu infused with the nuances and flavors of the Afro Diaspora’s spice market. The Simpson will embody the soulful vibes and beats of the borough, while capturing the exuberance of the New Brooklyn Renaissance through Art, Music, Mixology and Cuisine. The service will be reminiscent of wherever you call home, as Chef’s “Cooking with Love” menu will be completed with with an array of delectable pastries and desserts, yummy mock tails for the non-drinker, and creative elixirs for the adventurous. Menu highlights include Hennessy Fried Shrimp, Bourbon Bbq, 5 Cheese Macaroni Pie, and Wings.

I’ve dined here several times and this time had to be my worst experience! The service is normally exceptional, however Bianca never brought my drink to the table, my food came out after the rest of my party so when everyone else was finishing up I was basically starting and the fish was bland and not cooked all the way. I just ended up packing it to go. Also I made a reservation and ended up sitting at a bar table and not in the dining area. The appetizers were great.

The food is amazing. I did make a reservation and they put us at a bar instead of a table. Ambience was still awesome though. We did have to ask 3x for the check which was frustrating by the end but overall will definitely go back.

This is my fourth time visiting this restaurant and all my guests have left raving about the quality of the food .

First visit to the restaurant and it happened to be the day of a big 70th birthday event. There were not enough servers and the service was extraordinarily slow. (About 30 minutes to get water for the table. About 20 minutes for serving pieces for shared items.). The food was good and plentiful. The vibe was upbeat and great for a Sunday afternoon.

Overall my experience was pretty good. We had the biggie platter, jerk shrimp tacos, jerk chicken and a few other items and everything was good. We will definitely be going back.

Wonderful service. Part of our party were seated while we waited for the others. The waiter was very nice and pleasant and gave great suggestions. The food was great , especially the bammy with cake and salt fish.

This was my 3rd dining experience. The atmosphere was commendable. Staff was very courteous. Food was great. My one disappointment. No non-alcoholic beer. Wish they would stock some sort of non-alcoholic beer.
