The Simpson complements Brooklyn’s new restaurant age from Williamsburg to Prospect Park, by offering a seafood friendly Caribbean/Soul Food cuisine and an inspired Classic Cocktail menu infused with the nuances and flavors of the Afro Diaspora’s spice market. The Simpson will embody the soulful vibes and beats of the borough, while capturing the exuberance of the New Brooklyn Renaissance through Art, Music, Mixology and Cuisine. The service will be reminiscent of wherever you call home, as Chef’s “Cooking with Love” menu will be completed with with an array of delectable pastries and desserts, yummy mock tails for the non-drinker, and creative elixirs for the adventurous. Menu highlights include Hennessy Fried Shrimp, Bourbon Bbq, 5 Cheese Macaroni Pie, and Wings.

First visit to the restaurant and it happened to be the day of a big 70th birthday event. There were not enough servers and the service was extraordinarily slow. (About 30 minutes to get water for the table. About 20 minutes for serving pieces for shared items.). The food was good and plentiful. The vibe was upbeat and great for a Sunday afternoon.

Overall my experience was pretty good. We had the biggie platter, jerk shrimp tacos, jerk chicken and a few other items and everything was good. We will definitely be going back.

Wonderful service. Part of our party were seated while we waited for the others. The waiter was very nice and pleasant and gave great suggestions. The food was great , especially the bammy with cake and salt fish.

This was my 3rd dining experience. The atmosphere was commendable. Staff was very courteous. Food was great. My one disappointment. No non-alcoholic beer. Wish they would stock some sort of non-alcoholic beer.

The place is great. Today's experience was a great one! The food tasted really good. The music, service and SERVER were amazing. Overall, an Exelent experience!

Made reservations for 6:30 and arrived on time and was told they were waiting for tables to clear out. 30 minutes later and we still were not seated. We had to leave and find another place to eat as we would have not made it in time for our concert at 8. Incredibly disorganized at the reception area and should have managed reservations better knowing there is a concert at the Barclays at 8pm and everyone is trying to eat prior to the show. They should have had a 90 minute seating limit per table and not taken any walk in customers at all.

Your waitress that hosted table 31 smelled of weed and had the worst manners. As I spoke with the hostess and security she came running over and began speaking at me as if I weren’t a paying customer and was asked by myself and the security guard to move away. She wouldn’t leave until her words were heard. She walked away from a table she was serving to come share her kind words. All because we asked her for a picture she said not at the table come let’s go somewhere nice as we got up and began to walk with her she walked away without notice and began taking an order. All she had to say was no or just finish us out we paid we left a decent tip the whole
